Scor Golf
Model: Scor 4161
Materials/Mfg: Form Forged Investment Cast 8620 Carbon Steel
The Scor 4161 wedges incorporate individually lofted clubs ranging from 41 degrees through 61 degrees. These were designed with Terry Kohler who is fondly referred to as The Wedge Guy, an authority wedge performance. Terry founded Eidolon Brands where the wedges of the same namesake were previously introduced. "V" sole technology was carried over from the Eidolon wedges into the Scor system. The soles incorporate a patented double bounce design that has proven versatility with different swings and turf conditions.
What differentiates the Scor clubs from the Eidolon is a progressive mass geometry throughout the various lofts in the set. Vertical center of gravity was independently designed for each specific loft to optimize trajectory control of this sub-set of scoring clubs.
Scor clubs are also manufactured using a Tru Form Forged process. The heads are initially cast using a very soft 8620 carbon steel and then the raw heads are forged under 800-tons of pressure. This is the same pressure used to manufacture billet forged irons. This results in a compact carbon head with tremendously soft feel and excellent durability. The heads are finished off with CNC milled face for perfect surface flatness and CNC milled grooves.
